May at the Picton library

On Wednesday May 3rd, HortSoc president Lise Bois will be giving a presentation on “Attracting Native Pollinators to your Garden” at 2 pm at the Picton Library on Main Street. Lise will be talking about just who are these native pollinators, their decline and what we can do to encourage and protect them in our gardens and why it’s important to do so.

Another HortSoc member, Walter McGee, will give a presentation on “How History Changes Plants and Plants Change History” on Wednesday , May 10th at 2 pm at the Picton library on Main Street. Come and find out how some plants have shaped the course of history.
