Annual General Meeting
November 27, 2019 –
Greetings from your Past President!
Hope all of you were able to get your gardens to bed before this early snowfall. I think this will be a long, snowy, cold winter.
It should give us lots of time to plan and design some of our gardens over and over again.
This month is our AGM. This is a “business” meeting combined with a celebratory pot luck. The business part consists of, approving the finances, minutes from last year and the election of the executive officers. If you or someone you know is interested in being part of the executive please let me know at: lisefbois(at)gmail(dot)com.
The pot luck part is when we share food and celebrate our accomplishments. This is where we hand out trophies and awards.
The society will provide the turkeys, gravy, cranberry sauce and coffee, tea and juice.
We ask that members bring veggie sides, salads or desserts.
Please bring your own plate, cutlery and glass.
This is our last meeting of the year.
Our next member meeting will be on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020.
Our speaker will be Dr. Anne Uings from Bay of Quinte Lyme Support Group. This year seemed to have been a bumper year for ticks!
We would also like to do a members seed exchange at the February meeting. Even if we don’t collect our own seeds, most of us never use up all the seeds in purchased packets, so perhaps you can consider sharing with fellow members.
Wishing all of you a most marvellous and safe holiday season!
