Greetings from your President

I hope everyone has had a great summer! It seems to have gone by so quickly. It was one of the hottest summers I have experienced in the county!

We had a great Garden Show in June as well as a very successful Garden Tour! We look forward to having both these events next year.

If you have any ideas for the Garden Show or would like to suggest gardens for the Tour next year, we would love to hear from you.

We also have a great Fall line-up of speakers.

  • Tamara Segal will show us how to dry herbs and creative uses for them at our September 26th meeting.
  • Kevin and Sharon will discuss proper methods of pruning trees and shrubs at our October 31st meeting.

Our AGM will be on November 28th this year. This is our pot luck and election meeting. I will be stepping down as president.

If you are interested in being a board member, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.

I wish everyone a very happy end of summer, and I look forward to seeing you in the Fall and exchanging garden news!

Please check out the Picton Fair on Saturday, Sept. 8th for the live broadcast of Carson’s radio show “Take it Outside” from 8 am to 10 am.

See you in September!

Lise

June 16 – The Show!

Our garden show, County Blooms, will be on Saturday, June 16 from 10:00 until 3:00 in the Wellington Town Hall. The flower show (11:30 – 3:00 after judging), Victorian tea, plant sale, kid’s activities, vendors and the silent auction will be our main features.

Full details for the Flower Show available through the link on right side of this page.

This year we would like to feature “Fairy Gardens” in our 2nd, hopefully annual, “informal” flower show.
